I work on Alertpedia (http://www.alertpedia.com) mentioned in this post. This website was started in response to the Indian ocean tsunami to alert people about earthquakes. Over time it has grown to include more categories that improve the safety and convenience of everyone in the world, such as health announcements (avian flu outbreaks, medical alerts, etc.), product / food recalls, allergies, weather, traffic, breaking news etc.
